Hello and welcome to my website!

My name is Tiana Mackay and I was born on 16th December 2007 in Norwich, Norfolk UK.

Unfortunately, unbeknown to mummy and daddy, I had 2 serious problems with my heart. The doctors first discovered one of the problems when I was just 6 weeks old and told mummy I had a heart murmur that would need investigating. Little did any of us know that I was to face 3 major life saving heart operations.

I am going to share mine and my family’s experience through this website from my initial diagnosis through to my brief spell at home from June to September 2008, before undergoing my 3rd operation in September 2008 and subsequent recovery. Daddy has added a new ‘ updates’ section so you can follow my progress. He plans to carry on doing these each time I have an operation as I will need more in the future as I get bigger.

I hope you find my website useful and it raises awareness of my condition and Great Ormond Street Hospital who do an amazing job and need as much help as possible to help children from all over the world get better.

Thank you – Tiana xx

Daddy took me in to the rain room where mummy was already inside and very wet. I looked at daddy and tried to tell him I really didn’t

Holiday update 20th August 2011

After lots of driving in the car we finally arrived at our holiday carryvan in The New Forest! We knew we were here because there were lots of horses walking around without riders which was very strange to see, but also very exciting! Our carryvan is very big and I have my own bedroom with a little carrycot in it. I want to sleep
