Wednesday 17th September 2008

Wednesday 17th September 2008 – I was a lot more alert today when mummy and daddy came to see me. I tried to cry so they would cuddle me but no sound was coming out so I held their hands so they wouldn’t leave me and every time they let go I cried again. The doctors and nurses told mummy and daddy they are happy with my progress and my right lung seems to have improved. I also had my pacemaker removed and my heart rhythm seems normal again so it looks like I won’t need a permanent one after all (which is a shame because I was looking forward to setting metal detectors off wherever I went!). The doctors will remove the wires for the pacemaker on Friday or Saturday. I slept a lot and had my feeds increased by a tiny amount.
